1. The markers are easy to fix in place, are maintenance-free and cost nothing to run, and can be continuously reused or redeployed - shining with a luminosity equivalent to full moonlight, continuously for 25 years.
2. For each marker the indicator arrow, chevron or other symbol is housed in a black anodised aluminium frame for style and weather durability.

The finished products are made to BS 5499 : Part 2 (governing British standards of manufacture for safety signs, notices and graphic symbols) and their luminosity is has a useful life of 25 years.
